Who is the ’goalie’ in Goalie’s Goodies?
Debbie Markus Watrous is the owner of Goalie’s Goodies, and yes, she is an ice hockey goalie. She didnt't start skating until she was 19, but she now has been playing goalie since 1997. She currently plays for the Fighting Squirrels out of Carol Stream.
Debbie grew up in the small town of Hampshire, IL. She went to college at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for her Bachelor of Science in Finance and her first years of playing ice hockey.
After many years of crunching numbers and event planning in the corporate world, Debbie decided to follow her passion for food and fun and open a popcorn and candy shop in the heart of Elmhurst, Goalie's Goodies.
